Recent studies on the collective behavior of catalytic motors motivate my research project. I will develop theory and simulations to understand the interaction between catalytic motors that rely on the creation of a concentration gradient to move autonomously. When more than one motor is present in a fluid, the disturbed concentration field caused by one motor changes the concentration field disturbed by another one, affecting the propulsion speed of each motor.  Collectively, these ‘active’ particles could organized into complex and functional structures.
